Google has launched the Google Pixel Tag, its first smart tag designed specifically for item tracking. Combining practicality with security, it leverages Google’s Find Hub network to help you quickly and easily recover the most important items in your daily life. Whether it’s keys, wallets, or travel luggage, the Pixel Tag serves as a reliable locating companion.
The first Google Pixel Tag is here, keeping track of your personal items at all times.
The Pixel Tag features a lightweight, portable design with a durable stainless steel casing that resists bending and cracking, and is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. Its built-in speaker plays a chime to help you quickly locate your items at close range. What’s more, it works in reverse too—press the button on the Tag and your phone will ring, so you can easily find it even in a hurry. The battery lasts up to one year and is user-replaceable, making long-term use hassle-free.
To start using Pixel Tag, simply pull out the battery tab and hold the Tag near a device running Android 9 or above, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete fast pairing. You can choose an item category or enter a custom name in the Find Hub app so that each Tag clearly corresponds to your item. Additionally, Pixel Tag supports sharing with up to 10 people, making it convenient for families or teams to manage important items together.
After opening the Find Hub app, you can view the item’s location on the map. If the item is within Bluetooth range, you can make the Tag ring to find it quickly. Pixel Tag’s ultra-wideband Bluetooth channel sounding technology provides more precise distance and direction cues, so even if the item is buried under a pile of clothes or stuck in a sofa crevice, you can easily locate it.
After enabling “Item Left Behind Alerts,” the system will proactively notify you when you might forget an item. If a Tag goes out of range, Find Hub will use its vast network covering over a billion Android devices to help locate it. This crowdsourced network employs security measures such as end-to-end encryption to help you recover lost items while protecting your privacy. When your phone detects that you are carrying an unknown Tag, it will automatically alert you and provide guidance on making the Tag play a sound and on next steps.
The Pixel Tag isn’t just for use with your phone. You can also locate it and make it sound using the Find Hub app on your Pixel Watch or a browser, and even use Pixel Buds to trigger the Tag’s alert tone by voice via Gemini, making it more intuitive to find your belongings.
The Google Pixel Tag will be officially launched in November 2026, priced at NT$999 for a single pack and NT$3,390 for a 4-pack.
