Although he has always cried about poverty, he said that he has begun to cope with the operating costs.“Less aggressive” advertising featuresAt first, Telegram users should be able to smell this messaging service that focuses on protecting privacy. After all, in the face of the gradual increase in the number of users, they still have to find more income to support the lofty ideals of privacy messaging (although this “value” is gradually being questioned).

Telegram, which always adds new strategies for profit-making every time it updates its active user milestones and brings new features, this time has launched a Premium service for about NT$150 per month, which also verifies the news that it has been rumored that it will start charging. Telegram starts charging to welcome 700 millionth active user

Although it focuses on privacy, with more and more users. From personal experience, it seems that the authorities are gradually unable to prevent the intrusion of spam accounts, and even the situation of cybercrime using Telegram as a ready-made command and control (C & C) system is becoming increasingly serious. However, in order to continue to update and improve functions, it is obvious that more revenue is needed to implement it.

With 700 million active users reaching the target, Telegram has also officially provided a paid subscription option for Premium advanced services for this originally completely free messaging service after adding advertising and other means of earning revenue. Users will be able to enjoy different service levels for a monthly fee of US$4.99, which is approximately NT$150.

Compared with many services, free users will generally cut off functions to create differentiation. Telegram Premium account users will be able to take advantage of a larger single file transfer, which has been increased from the original 2GB to a 4GB single file; priority will also be given to paid accounts to enjoy faster download speeds. The rest of the “double” is that the number of channels that can be tracked has also been increased from 500 to 1,000. It also provides more chat room folders, pinned items, special emoticon responses, exclusive stickers for paying users, self-introduction pages with longer strings, dynamic avatars and other personalized content.

In terms of functions, it also adds an automatic voice-to-text transcription function for voice messages (this is quite convenient, but I don’t know about the language support) and advanced messaging chat room management functions. Of course, a very important point is that you can enjoy a clean messaging service with “no ads” – although you may still be disturbed by spam accounts (QQ).

Speaking of which, it is actually quite reasonable to make differences in the cloud space usage experience as the number of users increases.

After all, it has exceeded 700 million active users, and the related operating expenses will really rise – but it is surprising that the benefits of free users are not reduced in disguise because of paid subscriptions (or are they?). It feels like it’s more focused on users who rely heavily on such messaging services, but I don’t know if this will give this service a different social chemistry effect.

I wonder if you would like to subscribe to this service? Or do you feel that the speed is slowing down as the service goes online? Can you share it with Computer King Ada?
