I don’t know if you all feel the same way, but the key thing that prevents me from inviting other friends who want to play Clubhouse is probably the fact that uploading and sharing must be turned on so that contact information can be invited – even if I insist on uploading the contacts’ Facebook (instant messaging) every time, I will press reject every time I log in. The reason is that I don’t want my friend’s information to be leaked – after all, if my own information is leaked, I’ll consider myself stupid.

Now, this group voice chat application, which focuses on being able to break in at any time (oh, is that the explanation), has finally put aside some of the insistence that may have caused privacy concerns. Faced with privacy concerns, Clubhouse relaxes invitation conditions and brings new features such as language filtering

After all, as long as you have a Clubhouse account, you can listen (plus they themselves are constantly increasing the upper limit for joining chat rooms), so it may be difficult for the official to really regulate the issue of chat room content being disclosed. However, regarding the privacy issue of not wanting to upload contacts (after all, there have been rumors beforeData has been uploaded to the Chinese server), they have finally made the change and confirmed that uploading a contact list before inviting others to join will no longer be required.

Although sending an invitation code still requires the other party’s phone number, it is a good change to no longer need to upload complete contact information. In addition, for users who have uploaded it, Clubhouse director Paul Davidson promised to provide tools to delete this data in the future.

product updates:
Link sharing- You can now share a link to your profile or club

Language filtering- we will learn what language rooms you tend to join and filter the others

Invite via phone #- don’t have them in your contacts? You can invite them by typing in their phone #

They also announced that Clubhouse will receive feature updates recently, one of which is a listening function that can filter by language (this is good!). It also provides the ability to share your Clubhouse information and Clubs channels through links, and provides more tools and options to address malicious use. Still crazy about Clubhouse? You can look forward to these new features.
