vivo plans to respond directly to the troublesome issue of phone battery anxiety with a battery that has a five-digit mAh capacity. On September 23, vivo announced the launch of the V80 Lite in Taiwan, equipped with a 10,000mAh “Super Endurance Blue Ocean Battery.” The company earned Guinness World Records certification with a continuous livestream lasting 32 hours and 37 minutes, while packing military-grade drop resistance and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance into an 8.59mm, 224g body. The new phone will go on sale October 1 simultaneously at vivo official experience stores, the official online store, and the three major telecom carriers. The 6GB+128GB version starts at NT$16,990.

The V80 Lite has been given the title of “Guinness World Records-certified longest electronic product test.” The official Guinness World Records category name is “Longest Electronic Product Testing Livestream.” Verification was completed in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on August 11, 2026, and the record was set by the vivo V80 Lite 5G Team (China), with a final time of 32 hours and 37 minutes. The livestream itself was a long-duration real-device endurance test, with the phone running uninterrupted for a day and a half.
What underpins this result is vivo’s BlueVolt battery. It marks the V series’ first entry into the 10,000mAh class, using fourth-generation silicon anode technology and a new-generation Magic Cube packaging. The company says battery capacity is 54% higher than the previous generation, while keeping the body thickness at 8.59mm.

Besides the lab’s continuous playback in one go, vivo has also provided official figures for different usage scenarios. The Taiwan version lists up to about 16 hours of navigation and 45 hours of calls, with 8 hours of hotspot sharing consuming only about 14% battery; figures previously published for the international version include 30 hours of video playback, 68 hours of calls, and 14 hours of gaming.
Taiwan’s summers have never been kind to batteries. On the battery side, second-generation semi-solid-state battery technology is paired with a 3.8K ultra-large VC cooling system. The official claim is that it can maintain stable power delivery in 45°C environments, while the international version’s official wording states an operating range between -30°C and 45°C. For charging, it supports 44W wired fast charging, plus “Global Bypass Charging” to reduce heat when charging and using at the same time; reverse charging lets the phone act as a power bank when necessary to top up small devices like TWS earbuds.
Battery life was also brought up. vivo lab data shows that the battery can still maintain more than 80% of its capacity after 1,400 charge/discharge cycles; based on official simulated daily usage habits (a full charge/discharge once every 1.83 days), that equates to about 7 years of use. This is an estimate under original factory laboratory conditions, and the actual rate of degradation will still vary depending on charging habits and ambient temperature. When the battery drops to 1%, Battery Life Extender will preserve basic functions such as emergency calls.
6.83-inch 1.5K screen with 2,000 nits of brightness, built to take on the outdoors
The screen specifications are a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260, support for a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits global peak brightness, SGS five-star sunlight-readable display certification, and additional SGS low blue light, flicker-free, and HDR10+ certifications, with color display at 107 million colors. The thinnest bezel is 1.35mm, the official screen-to-body ratio is 94.47%, and it also features stereo dual speakers.
IP68/IP69 plus military-grade, so you don’t have to worry too much about getting submerged or rained on.
Another pain point for outdoor users is device protection. The V80 Lite has IP68 and IP69 dust- and water-resistance certifications. Official test conditions include immersion in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, continuous heavy-rain spraying for 24 hours, and even surviving a washing machine cycle. It also offers splash protection against 22 everyday liquids, including coffee, cola, soapy water, and tea; its dust rating is IP6X. For drop resistance, it passed U.S. military-standard MIL-STD-810H testing. The company also claims it can withstand a 3-meter drop onto carpet, while the screen passed 2,500 scratch tests. These are claims under laboratory conditions and do not guarantee that any drop will leave it damage-free.
Dimensity 7300e and 50MP main camera
At its core is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, paired with OriginOS 6 (based on Android 16). Memory and storage come in three configurations: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. The camera setup features a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX852 sensor, f/1.8) plus a 2MP auxiliary camera, while the front camera is 32MP with f/2.2. Connectivity specs include 5G dual SIM dual standby, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and OTG.
