The vivo X500 series was officially unveiled on 9/21. Although its Taiwan launch date won’t come until mid-October, I already got a sneak peek at the launch event. The new series has excellent build quality, with a strong premium feel from the outside in. First, let’s take a look at the new phones’ exterior design; I believe V fans will be pleased with the premium color options this time.
vivo X500 series eyes-on: A premium feel is a radiance from the inside out.
This time, the vivo X500 comes in four colors—Clear Sky, Dawn, Night Capture, and Earth Echo—spanning both understated and lively styles. Continuing the previous “round sky, square earth” design, it presents another meaning of completeness within a grand layout.
The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max offer four options: Sunny, Rosy Glow, Night Capture, and Earth Echo. They continue the X series’ classic camera module and cold-engraved glass craftsmanship design, balancing a high-capacity Blue Ocean battery and flagship imaging hardware with a lightweight, sleek in-hand feel. Notably, although the upper and lower sections of the back of both Pro models are the same color, they use different finishing treatments, creating different textures from glossy to grained and delivering a premium hand feel.
For the display, vivo X500 features a 6.36-inch ZEISS Master Color Screen; vivo X500 Pro features a 6.59-inch ZEISS Master Color Screen; vivo X500 Pro Max features a 6.85-inch ZEISS Master Color Screen. Specially tuned to maintain optimal color performance and visual effects.
In addition, there is a rather unique accessory this time: the vivo Snap Screen. It is the compact, slim wireless video transmission mini display for the vivo X500. It connects to the phone via Bluetooth and can be used as a shooting remote when detached. Once magnetic cases are attached to both the phone and the Snap Screen, it can snap onto the phone for easy storage and carrying. It can also serve as a real-time monitor when using the rear camera for selfies or self-recording, making it very convenient for shooting short videos, recording commentary voiceovers, filming unboxings, or shooting from special camera positions.
In response to the needs of advanced video enthusiasts, this time we’re also launching a Creator Kit built specifically for content creators, including a grip, a dedicated phone case, two teleconverters, and a portable monitor—everything you need in one package.
