In terms of year-to-date registrations, the total for the first eight months of 2026 was 494,422 vehicles, up 7% from the same period last year, boosted by a surge in registrations after facelifted new models launched from March to June.
With the boost from each launching significantly redesigned new models, SYM, Kymco, and Yamaha motorcycles held the top three spots with year-to-date market shares of 44.3%, 25.4%, and 18.9%, respectively; boosted by the EZZY, Luna, and Viva Mix, Gogoro held fourth place with a year-to-date market share of 4.5%; as the redesigned new models from the top four brands sold well, the decline in other brands’ market share became more pronounced and showed a widening trend, leaving them with only 6.9% share, down 6.7% from the same period last year.
