What should I do if I receive a lot of iMessage spam?

Fraudulent techniques are constantly evolving and fraud syndicates are pervasive. People have been defrauded, and the amount and number of cases has reached new highs. In addition to fake phishing websites spread through phone text messages and Facebook Messenger instant messaging software in the past, unscrupulous elements have recently targeted free iMessages among fruit fans. They use robots to generate accounts to send out a large number of spam iMessages, sending bank loans, investment and financial management, or fraudulent messages with phishing links, which has disturbed many people.

Is there any way to prevent iMessage spam? The following is an analysis and explanation:

iMessage is a dedicated messaging function in iPhones and iOS devices. As long as both parties are using the iMessage function in an Internet environment, they can send messages to each other “for free”. Because it is free, unscrupulous elements can use robots to create a large number of fake email accounts to send bank loans, investment and financial management, or fraudulent messages with phishing links. Unlike mobile text messages that require a “phone number”, which can be added to the warning number by reporting to 165, and Facebook Messenger, which can be cut off by reporting the account to Facebook. Currently, the accounts that deliver iMessage spam are all email addresses that can proliferate in large numbers, so they are almost impossible to prevent and difficult to completely cut off.

Furthermore, because Apple has not opened iMessage to third-party developers, the third-party software that can block spam messages (such as Whoscall Smart Message Manager) does not yet support filtering iMessage messages. Therefore, currently there are only four methods available: [block, delete, and report individual messages], [set not to use email to receive iMessages], [turn on unknown sender filtering], and [turn off iMessage service]. However, these four methods all make the original iMessage receiving function partially or completely disabled, which is a dilemma for fruit fans who regard iMessage as an important communication tool.

A.To block, delete and report a single text message:

B.Set up not using email to receive iMessages:

C.Enable filtering unknown senders:

D.Turn off iMessage service:

Special reminder, if you turn off the iMessage service, your phone will switch to SMS/MMS phone text messages to send messages, and the color of the messages will change from free iMessage (blue background) to paid phone text messages (green background)!

Can I only be beaten passively when encountering this kind of spam iMessage? The moderator suggests that you can follow the practice of netizens ~ paste the LINE number of the previous scam text message to the reply to the next spam text message, and the spam will come and go! However,Please use free iMessage messages (blue background) when replying, do not use SMS messages (green background), otherwise you will lose a message fee.!
