HONOR announced that its HONOR 600 series smartphones will be introduced to the Taiwan market in July 2026. This new phone, which has achieved double-digit growth in the global mid- to high-end mobile phone market (priced under US$1,000), features the industry’s first “AI image-to-video” function, and is paired with the global brand campaign “#ForHONOR” of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Since its launch, it has driven global users to generate more than 13.4 million seconds of AI video content.

Global growth bucked the trend, with Q1 recording the highest growth among the top 6 brands
In the context of the overall sluggish smartphone market, HONOR’s performance is particularly impressive. According to preliminary data from Counterpoint Research, global smartphone shipments fell by 6% annually in the first quarter of 2026. However, HONOR bucked the trend and posted an annual increase of 25%. It is the only manufacturer among the top six brands in the world to achieve double-digit positive growth. Market share also climbed to 7% from 5% in the same period in 2025. IDC data also confirms this momentum, pointing out that HONOR has the highest growth rate among the top ten mobile phone manufacturers in the world.
Analysts believe that the key to HONOR’s ability to break through in the industrial downturn lies in its aggressive overseas expansion strategy and product mix tailored to local conditions. “AI image to video” is one of the core selling points of the HONOR 600 series. It is equipped with the industry’s first unified multi-modal video generation model, which integrates video generation, editing and understanding into a single process. Users can combine up to three images and text commands to quickly generate an AI video of 3 to 8 seconds, and can customize the opening and ending screens to control the complete video rhythm.
In actual operation, users can start the creative process with one click through the dedicated AI button built into the photo album, and can also apply movie-level templates to transform static photos into dynamic content with a movie quality. In addition, HONOR also provides an “AI photo agent” function that supports natural language command-driven photo editing. Users only need to describe the modifications they want, and AI will automatically complete it.
