Recently, a new Apple Hearing Study found that 25% of respondents actually had average daily environmental sound exposure levels higher than the upper limit recommended by the WHO.
The WHO’s trend analysis predicts that by 2050, more than 700 million people worldwide will have severe hearing loss. After I began to pay attention to the health issue of hearing, I also learned that not only high-volume occasions such as concerts, but also the wind noise of cycling can easily cause noise exposure problems (the app has warnings, but I think it is just the wind noise QQ). It can be seen that the issue of hearing health care is not far away from us at all, and it is something worthy of our attention.
Basically, whether you are participating in lively activities such as concerts, parties, or press conferences, or you are often surrounded by long-term construction or vehicle sounds, you may not realize that the time and noise level have exceeded your hearing tolerance – especially the factor of “time” is easily ignored.
