In an era where a lot of information has been “videoized”, it is difficult to correct individual paragraphs of videos uploaded on the YouTube platform (not referring to mosaics or changing music). Therefore, if there is a situation where some content of the video needs to be corrected due to a coding error or subsequent information confirmation, etc. In the past, creators may have had to face the embarrassing situation of simply re-uploading the video, or correcting it through relatively inconspicuous annotations or subtitles. Now the YouTube service team has finally begun to provide a prompt function that allows creators to more directly express to the audience the error content in the video – well, correction, before the end of the month to be precise… Continue reading You can also deal with errors in YouTube video content! Even YouTube video content errors can be dealt with! The new “Correction” function allows you to be a responsible creator
In this era where everyone can be an Internet celebrity on video and audio platforms. Although everyone may have a “media-level voice” that cannot be ignored, not everyone has the professional knowledge required by traditional media platforms to control the creative content (in fact, the media may not control the content very well) – so it may be easier for incorrect information to be mixed in some video segments.
Although the entire video is deliberately spreading false and malicious content, YouTube has a reporting mechanism. But if there are typos, or some information is missing or needs to be corrected. This situation is actually a bit embarrassing for the creators themselves and even the audio-visual platform. After all, the problem may not be serious enough to require the whole thing to be removed from the shelves or re-edited and uploaded, but you still worry that someone will be misled by the content.

Now, the YouTube development team has also announced a new “Corrections” tool through their Creator Insider channel. It will allow creators to provide additional processing methods similar to traditional media “correction notices”, in addition to having to scrap all interactive comments and views with the audience and completely re-upload the video to correct the video.

The presentation method of this function is actually very similar to the general information card function. When you come to a video section that needs correction or clarification, a new “View Corrections” information card will appear in the upper right corner of the YouTube screen. At this point, if the viewer clicks on the card, they will see a list of corrections and text descriptions with time tags for the entire video.
By default, this function card will only pop up at the first corrected time point, so if you see it in the future, you may have to click on it as soon as possible to confirm the possible error information in this video. If this function is used in combination with pinned comments, description annotations, etc., I believe it can have better effects on relevant information correction announcements.
