Seriously speaking, even Google, which desperately hopes to get rid of the impression of fragmentation, actually supports the old system “never give up” (further reading:WD NAS has a 0-day vulnerability. Following the 2018 Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich RetiredLater, its next version, Android Jelly Bean, was confirmed to officially end update support for Google Play services in August this year. Interestingly, compared to the 0.5% usage rate when ICS was retired, it was officially announced that Jelly Bean’s usage rate in July 2021 was as high as (?) 1%. I wonder if anyone still has a mobile phone running the Jelly Bean system? Is it Nexus 4 / 7 / 10 or whichever phone you prefer? Although it’s a bit sentimental, maybe it’s time to open it up and do another wave of updates to miss the experience of the old phone.
