Earlier today (4th), LINE officially announced that the application interface will undergo a comprehensive renovation. In addition to optimizing the actual user experience such as clearer visuals, intuitiveness, and readability, it will also make the interface layout of the iOS and Android dual systems more consistent. The new interface design of LINE App will be released starting from LINE 10.21.0 version. At that time, users will automatically apply the new LINE application interface as long as they update to this version (or subsequent updated versions).

LINE announced earlier that it will completely revamp its application interface starting with version 10.21.0. This update is expected to be released first in the near future on the Android version, and subsequent iOS versions will also adopt this new application interface in the LINE iOS 10.21.0 version update. Although users cannot actually experience it before the update is released, LINE officials have released several preview images to give everyone a first look at what the new user interface will look like.
The author has also compiled the current LINE iOS 10.19.0 version for comparison, so that everyone can compare the differences before and after the update:
In the future LINE 10.21.0 version of the new interface, the word “Home” at the top of the LINE homepage will be removed. Instead, the user’s personal profile and notification messages, new friends, and settings will be listed at the top of the screen, with a search field at the bottom to separate friend categories. As for the wallet page, the word wallet at the top of the screen is retained. In addition to the “wallet” text being enlarged and adjusted to the left alignment, the rest of the function buttons in the LINE Pay area and the various service buttons below are also enlarged and deepened to make the description text easier to read.
In addition, the original background color at the top of each page of the LINE application has been changed to a simpler and the same color as the background in the new version:

Later, in the new application interface adopted in LINE 10.21.0, the chat page and chat room not only had the wireframe color of many function buttons deepened to make the reading experience better, but also some small changes were made to the top page. For example, the “Chat” button on the chat page has been moved to the upper left corner with larger text. In addition to the original create chat room button, there are additional buttons in the upper right corner. Some of the original voice message buttons in the chat room have been changed to search buttons.However, the detailed functions of these new interfaces will still have to wait until the LINE 10.21.0 version 10 update to know.
