Meta’s strategy to win over younger users
Facebook has approximately 2.1 billion daily active usersbut has been working hard in recent years to attract and retain younger users. These AI features are clearly designed for Gen Z, aiming to keep the platform appealing through more personalized and interactive experiences. Previously, Facebook had already rolled out several youth-focused updates, including a brand-new redesign, friend-specific feeds, custom display names in groups, and even an attempt to revive the “poke” feature. Following Meta’s usual practice, these features will roll out globally in stages, so users in Taiwan likely don’t have access yet, but there’s something to look forward to.
