AI Proxy tools have become increasingly popular in 2026, with open-source tools going viral since the start of the year OpenClaw, until recently NVIDIA Launched for businesses NemoClawMajor services are all competing for the market of AI operating computers. Following the desktop Claude Cowork it launched this January, Anthropic has now rolled out a new feature called “Dispatch,” which lets you remotely control your computer directly from your phone. ClaudeThis means that even if you’re not at your computer, you can still have AI help you get work done.

Anthropic launches Claude Dispatch, letting you remotely control AI agents on your computer from your phone to help you work.

Claude’s new Dispatch feature can be thought of as a “remote control version” of Cowork. It lets you send commands remotely via the Claude mobile app—no matter where you are, as long as you have internet, you can have your Cowork running on your Mac desktop perform related tasks. It’s similar to using Telegram to remotely control OpenClaw.

Everything Claude can do on the desktop—files, browsers, tools, internal dashboards, code, and more—can all be done remotely through Claude Dispatch. On the security side, all processing happens through Cowork mode, running in a secure sandbox environment on the device, so files stay local and never leave your device.

You can refer to the video below:

Based on what has already been experienced MacStories Sharing: Setting up Claude Dispatch is also straightforward. After updating the Claude Mac App, select the Dispatch option in Cowork, then pair by scanning the QR Code with your phone, and you can start sending commands to Claude on your computer from your phone:

You can have Claude organize reports from local spreadsheets, generate Slack and Email summary digests, and even create presentations from files in Google Drive. One important thing to note: the Mac must stay on and the Claude App must be running—it cannot be in sleep or locked mode.

However, Dispatch is still in the “research preview” stage, so there appears to be significant room for improvement.

According to MacStories testing, Dispatch performed well in data lookup and summarization tasks—successfully searching for specific screenshots, locating image files, summarizing Notion notes, and compiling email content. However, for system control operations like opening apps on Mac, sending screenshots via iMessage, and accessing Safari tab content, it was more prone to failure.

The overall success rate hovers around 50%, and the speed is also relatively slow.

Test results for each task:

Dispatch is now available to Claude Max subscribers, with Pro users expected to get access gradually over the next few days. As for Windows, Anthropic has mentioned future support but hasn’t provided a specific timeline.
