Earlier there had been rumors indicating thatOpenAI am considering at ChatGPT Plus Introduce a middle-tier plan between Plus and ChatGPT Pro ($200/month), since jumping from $20 to $200 is a tenfold difference—many users feel Plus isn’t enough, but Pro is too pricey to commit to.
This has finally been confirmed. Earlier, OpenAI announced on their official community the official launch of the ChatGPT Pro plan at $100/month (NT$3,300), giving you all Pro benefits at half the price. Of course, the $200 plan still offers higher usage limits.

ChatGPT finally launches a $100/month Pro plan! Filling the pricing gap between Plus and Pro, targeting heavy Codex users
OpenAI announced on its official X community:
我們推出全新的每月 100 美元 Pro 方案。此新方案提供比 Plus 多 5 倍的 Codex 使用量,特別適合進行長時間、高強度的 Codex 使用情境。而在 ChatGPT 中,這個新的 Pro 方案仍然包含所有 Pro 功能,包括專屬的 Pro 模型,以及對 Instant 與 Thinking 模型的無限制使用。
So the 5x Codex usage limit compared to Plus is the main highlight of this $100 ChatGPT Pro plan. Codex users no longer have to reluctantly subscribe to the pricey $200 plan just because they keep hitting the usage cap, saving half the cost monthly makes a real difference.
Sure, provided the 5x limit is sufficient for you.
Additionally, to celebrate the launch of the new plan, OpenAI is also running a limited-time bonus promotion: “Codex credits increased to 10x the Plus allocation.” From now through May 31, 2026, all $100 ChatGPT Pro users will receive 10x credits.
After the end of May, it will revert back to the standard 5x quota, so if you already use Codex frequently, upgrading during this period would be a better deal.

Besides Codex, even the $100 ChatGPT Pro plan gives you access to exclusive Pro models in ChatGPT, plus unlimited use of Instant and Thinking models, so you never have to worry about hitting limits mid-conversation—chat as much as you want.
What’s the difference between the $100 and $200 Pro plans? OpenAI says both Pro plans include the same core features, with the main difference being the usage credits.
Compared to the ChatGPT Plus plan as a baseline, the $100 Pro plan offers 5 times the usage allowance of Plus, while the $200 Pro plan offers 20 times that of Plus.
In other words, the $200 plan offers approximately four times the allowance of the $100 plan.
Taiwan pricing has also been announced at 3,300 per month. You can switch between the two plans using the button in the upper right corner. Those who need it can upgrade immediately:

With this $100 plan, OpenAI is clearly looking to compete with Anthropic. Anthropic’s Max plan in their Claude subscription tiers starts at $100 per month, and Claude Code has generated much more discussion among developers than Codex, putting significant competitive pressure on OpenAI.
OpenAI has finally rolled out plans at the same price point, so now it’ll be a matter of whether it can attract more developers to subscribe.
Both Claude and OpenAI offer $100 plans, so we can expect Google to follow suit.
