Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon X2 Plus for Mainstream Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs
The Snapdragon X2 Plus features the third-generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU, which the company claims delivers single-core CPU performance up to 35% faster than the Snapdragon X Plus. Thanks to its energy-efficient CPU architecture and 3nm process node, the X2 Plus consumes approximately 43% less power than the X Plus series. The X2 Plus series comes in two versions; see the image below for details:

The Snapdragon X Plus platform is equipped with a custom “hexagonal” NPU that delivers 45 TOPS of AI performance. Qualcomm claims that the new X2 Plus can achieve up to 80 TOPS of AI performance to deliver next-generation AI experiences. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU on the X2 Plus platform delivers a 29% performance boost and supports up to three external 4K displays.

The Snapdragon X2 Plus also offers optional integrated 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth connectivity to enhance the wireless experience. Qualcomm positions the Snapdragon X2 Plus as an enterprise-grade security platform, supporting automated online detection, biometric authentication, and chip-to-cloud protection enabled by the Qualcomm SPU and Microsoft Pluton. Enterprises can also opt for Snapdragon Guardian technology, which combines hardware, firmware, and cloud services to enable out-of-band computer management from anywhere.

Kedar Kondap, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Computing and Gaming Division at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., said, “Today’s professionals and creators are eager to boost their productivity and creativity, constantly pushing the boundaries of generative AI and round-the-clock performance. “The performance, efficiency, and intelligence delivered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus platform will exceed their expectations, making every experience more responsive and personalized.”
Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs powered by the Snapdragon X2 Plus series platform will be available from Windows OEMs in the first half of 2026.
