Google today officially launched three new devices: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL. This generation brings major advancements in camera systems, durability, and overall performance, and debuts the Google Tensor G6 chip built on the latest Gemini Nano architecture. Designed by Gemini Intelligence, these devices are built around a core philosophy of delivering more time-saving, personalized smart assistance, while introducing a new imaging experience that lets users capture life’s most precious moments more authentically.

Refined appearance, stronger design
The Pixel 11 series continues the iconic camera bar design, but the materials have been fully upgraded to full-screen glass for a more cohesive look and a finer feel. Starting with Pixel 11, the camera bar is 40% thinner, and with Google’s official case, it’s nearly bump-free — the slimmer, flatter design keeps the phone completely stable on a desk and makes it easier to carry on the go.
The Pixel 11 features a satin metal frame and polished glass back, paired with a bright, immersive Actua display, for a look that’s both stylish and durable. The body is reinforced to withstand everyday splashes, scratches, and drops. Color options include two vibrant shades—pistachio green and hibiscus red—along with two classic neutrals: frost white and obsidian black.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL once again come in two sizes, delivering the most complete Pixel experience. Both Pro models feature the brightest Super Actua display, with peak brightness reaching 3600 nits, and add a new scratch-resistant coating that offers more than twice the scratch resistance of the previous generation. Combined with the drop-resistant structure introduced with the Pixel 9 series, this is the most durable Pixel Pro lineup to date.
All three new models start at 256GB and support faster charging speeds. The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro add Qi 2.2 25W wireless charging, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL’s wired charging has been significantly improved, delivering up to 15 hours of battery life from just a 15-minute charge.
HiLight: Stay connected even when the screen is facing down.
Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL introduce the HiLight feature, letting users stay on top of important information in a more unobtrusive way, even without looking at the screen. HiLight uses colorful LED lights around the camera flash to display different statuses with soft lighting effects. For example, when issuing a command to Gemini, the light shows “listening,” “thinking,” or “responding” in different patterns.
Incoming call notifications are also more personalized. Users can assign a dedicated color to their most important contacts, so even if the phone is face down, they can tell at a glance whether to answer immediately. In the future, HiLight will add more notification types, such as message alerts for specific contacts.
Fully upgraded camera system
Pixel 11 series cameras have evolved across the board. The Pixel 11 features a new 48MP main sensor with 56% improved light sensitivity, delivering brighter, more detailed photos and videos in low light. Combined with Tensor G6, the 5x telephoto lens now supports 30x Super Res Zoom for clearer shots of distant subjects.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL feature a new main camera sensor, making this the most powerful main camera ever on a Pixel phone. The telephoto lens has been upgraded to 48 megapixels with a larger sensor, improving overall light sensitivity by 30%. The new 5x Portrait mode offers more composition options, and with the Tensor G6 and the latest imaging models, Pro Zoom now reaches up to 120x. The upgraded ISP on Tensor G6 also boosts Night Sight speed by 4.5x, while maintaining Pixel’s signature high-quality night photography.
Tensor G6: Faster, Smarter, Safer
Tensor G6 is more than just a faster chip—it’s a computing engine built around user needs. The upgraded CPU boosts webpage browsing speeds by 25% and app launch speeds by 15%. With a 50% increase in TPU computing power and the latest Gemini Nano model, on-device AI processing is 3.5 times faster while consuming 3.5 times less energy.
In terms of security, the Pixel 11 series features a brand-new Titan M3 security chip, deeply integrated with Tensor G6, delivering more proactive and powerful protection. It even incorporates post-quantum encryption to prepare for future quantum attack risks. According to the latest report from Counterpoint Research, Pixel’s AI experience offers the strongest privacy protection among phones.
