Gamma, which specializes in AI presentations and web page generation, has recently taken a step forward. Recently, Gamma officially launched a new AI image generation product “Gamma Imagine”, hoping to allow users to quickly create branded visual materials through text commands and further enter the business design market where Canva and Adobe are located. Different from generative drawing tools that are biased towards artistic creation, Gamma Imagine does not target simple drawing, but the visual communication needs that enterprises and knowledge workers often encounter on a daily basis. Gamma said that this new product can be used to create interactive charts, data visualization content, marketing materials, social images and infographics, and can be used with more than 100 templates, allowing users to quickly produce content that matches the brand style.

Gamma has gained popularity in recent years with its AI presentation and file-based web page generation tools, but the launch of Gamma Imagine this time also represents that the product direction is extending from presentations to more complete business visual content production.

Grant Lee, CEO and co-founder of Gamma, said that when the team worked with early users, they found that when users created presentations, they often also had a lot of image design and visual expression needs. Therefore, Gamma further built a new tool set so that the product no longer just stays in the traditional presentation format.

「當我們開始和許多早期使用者合作時,我們意識到,他們想做的簡報裡,其實同時包含了各種圖像設計的需求,因此我們和他們一起開發出一套新的工具,讓他們能遠遠超越傳統簡報的形式。」

Targeting the middle market who don’t know how to use Adobe but don’t want to rely solely on PowerPoint

Grant Lee also pointed out that Gamma wants to serve a large group of knowledge workers and business people who need “visual communication” but do not have professional design capabilities. In other words, Gamma is not targeting the heavy professional design group like Adobe or Figma, but the middle market between traditional tools such as PowerPoint and professional design software that has been relatively ignored in the past.

「我們認為自己可以服務長尾的知識工作者與商務專業人士,他們的工作需求是視覺化溝通,但手上其實沒有合適的工具。」

He also further emphasized that Gamma hopes to use a more AI-native way to serve this market where demand has long existed but the supply is still incomplete. This also explains why Gamma does not just stop at AI briefings, but continues to expand into image generation, brand content and workflow integration.

Connect with ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier and other tools to enhance data-driven content generation

In order to make visual material generation closer to actual work scenarios, Gamma is also connecting the product with more external services. TechCrunch pointed out that Gamma currently integrates tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Make, Zapier, Atlassian, n8n and Superhuman Go. It hopes to strengthen data-driven material generation capabilities, allowing users to not only enter a prompt word, but to bring more work data, processes and content sources into the design process.

This approach also reflects the current direction of competition in generative AI tools. It is no longer just about who can make pictures, but who can enter the daily workflow and help users complete specific tasks faster.

With a valuation of US$2.1 billion and nearly 100 million users, Gamma wants to make AI communication tools bigger

In addition to product line expansion, Gamma has also grown at an alarming rate in recent years. Gamma completed a $68 million Series B round of financing led by a16z in November 2025, valuing the company at $2.1 billion. At the time, the company said that its ARR had reached US$100 million and its user base was approximately 70 million; Gamma recently revealed to TechCrunch that the number of platform users is now close to 100 million.

Judging from the current product layout, Gamma obviously does not intend to be just an “AI briefing tool.” With the launch of Gamma Imagine, the company is trying to push itself into a more complete AI visual communication platform and compete head-on with opponents such as Canva and Adobe on the road of business design and content production.
