Dual-SIM trick: Relying on a small card to bypass official verification
It’s one thing to be technically possible, it’s another to actually bypass Nintendo’s software verification. Mizuyoukan’s PCB design has a key detail: the board retains a microSD Express card slot, and insert a smaller-capacity microSD Express memory card.
The purpose of this “dual-card design” is to allow Switch 2 to complete the initialization verification and network authentication procedures required by the system when connecting to external storage for the first time: because Nintendo’s system verification logic targets genuine microSD Express cards, pure SSDs cannot pass this level. Once verification is completed, users can freely replace the M.2 SSD with a larger capacity without restrictions.

Exciting, but don’t do it easily
This modification program has indeed opened up a new path for players who pursue large capacity and are willing to accept DIY challenges.
