Sony officially launched the latest two wearable smart heating and cooling devices in the REON POCKET series in Taiwan today (5/18): REON POCKET 6 and the high-end flagship REON POCKET PRO Plus. Continuing the core concept of the series, both new products can be used directly against the neck skin and perform instant cooling or heating through the thermoelectric module inside the main unit, providing users with a more comfortable body temperature in different environments. This update not only improves hardware performance, but also simultaneously strengthens algorithm and accessory integration, making the overall user experience smarter and more intuitive.

REON POCKET 6: Dual temperature control modules bring a longer-lasting cooling experience
Compared with the previous generation that used a single thermoelectric module, the biggest upgrade highlight of REON POCKET 6 is the introduction of lightweight dual temperature control modules newly developed by Sony for this series. This design follows the architecture of the high-end REON POCKET PRO. Two independent modules can operate alternately at different intensities according to needs, thereby extending the duration of the cooling experience and maintaining a stable somatosensory effect under long-term use.
Sony has also introduced a new cooling algorithm into REON POCKET 6, allowing it to achieve a cooling efficiency of up to -2°C while maintaining a compact body. This improvement can bring a more obvious cooling effect to users who engage in outdoor activities, commute or stay in high temperature environments for a long time. In addition, REON POCKET 6 inherits the well-received design of high-end models and adds side operation buttons, allowing users to directly switch modes, adjust temperature, or turn on and off the power when it is inconvenient to take out their mobile phones. The appearance adopts a new curved design, which allows the host to better fit the curve of the neck, improving wearing stability and comfort.
REON POCKET PRO Plus: The strongest cooling performance in the series
As the high-end model released this time, REON POCKET PRO Plus has been fully upgraded in terms of hardware and algorithm. Sony uses a new optimized cooling algorithm and a new high-efficiency heat dissipation structure to increase cooling performance by up to about 20% compared to the previous generation. In the smart cooling mode (SMART COOL), the surface temperature of the host can be reduced by another 2°C, providing the strongest cooling capability in the current series.
To ensure safety and comfort, PRO Plus is also equipped with a high-precision sensor that can monitor skin temperature in real time and automatically adjust the cooling intensity within the scope of international safety standards to avoid discomfort caused by excessive cooling. This design allows users to have a more stable and secure cooling experience in hot environments.
REON POCKET TAG 2: Smaller, more accurate environmental detection accessory
Both the REON POCKET 6 and PRO Plus sets come standard with the new REON POCKET TAG 2. This accessory can accurately detect the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment, and is linked to the REON POCKET exclusive app to activate the smart cooling and heating mode. The system will automatically switch between cooling or heating according to environmental changes, allowing users to maintain the most comfortable body temperature in different situations.
TAG 2 is about 18% smaller than its predecessor, making it lighter to carry. The back clip design has also been changed to include a carabiner buckle, which can be more flexibly fixed on bags, belts or other personal items, and the use method is more flexible.
REON POCKET 6 and PRO Plus both come with two types of exhaust vent covers of different lengths. The long version of the cover has been further improved to an adjustable design. Users can extend the cover and adjust the air outlet angle as needed. Even when wearing high-necked clothes, they can effectively dissipate heat while maintaining an unobtrusive appearance of the host. The two new products are also equipped with an evolved special neck strap, adopting a “fitting fixed design.” The elastic mechanical tube inside the neckband has a thicker diameter, which improves softness and fit better, and its fixing ability is 40% higher than the previous generation. Without sacrificing comfort, it allows the main unit to stably fit the neck, ensuring that the cooling and heating module maintains optimal contact with the skin.
REON POCKET 6 set and REON POCKET PRO Plus set will be officially launched on 2026/5/20, with recommended retail prices of NTD$5,900 and NT$6,900 respectively. Both sets include REON POCKET TAG 2. Both are sold exclusively through Sony direct channels in Taiwan, and an exclusive protective case is sold separately for NT$700.
