1. Single-core performance is significantly improved
Compared with the previous generation, the single core of AMD Ryzen 9000 processor has been greatly improved, even surpassing the rival Intel camp.
In the Cinebench R23 test, the Ryzen 5 9600X, which has 6 cores and 12 threads, is 13% higher than the 7600X. The 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 9700X is also nearly 15% higher than the 7700X. The flagship versions Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X also have an improvement of about 12%.

3. But the flagship Ryzen 9 series beats Intel
If you are considering the Ryzen 9 series, then multi-core performance is no problem. Many tests are better than Intel’s i9-14900K. For example, for the 9950X, Cinebench R23 is 6.5% higher, Blender reaches 30%, Junkshop test also has 23%, and Monster is 23%.

4. Game performance stagnates
Although the running scores are something to be desired, the game performance is not ideal. The Ryzen 9000 series does not far surpass the Ryzen 7000. Some games even regressed. “Dynasty 2077” is one of them, and the 9950X dropped 4%.

Not every motherboard enables PBO by default, so after you purchase it, remember to enter the BIOS to check whether PBO is turned on. When enabled, it dynamically supplies more voltage to the processor to increase the clock speed, resulting in better performance.
As for the RAM voltage, AMD recommends running at 1.2V instead of the common 1.25V, so remember to adjust and confirm.
7. Excellent energy efficiency
