So is the support for Intel Arc gaming graphics cards better now? Recently, a well-known hardware YouTube channel tested the Arc A770 on as many as 250 games. The results showed that the performance was very good, but 5% of the games were still unplayable.

Recently, Hardware Unboxed, a million-dollar foreign YouTube channel, shared 250 game test videos of Intel Arc A770. Although Intel Arc A770 is the flagship model of Alchemist, this test is mainly to understand the game support of the current Arc graphics card, so it is not for testing. Otherwise, 250 models may have been tested for who knows how many years since the Republic of China. There are too many.
Hardware Unboxed doesn’t list all the game titles tested, but they range from old games to recently launched games, as well as AAA games. Basically, it can be said that the games that most people will play should be on this list.
The driver used during the test was the latest version 32.0.10.5762, and the following results were obtained:
- 93% of the games are playable, that is, 233 games, most of which are higher than 40FPS
- 87% of games (218 games) were played without any major issues
- 5% of the games cannot be played (32 games), possibly because they cannot be started or due to performance issues (serious lagging, etc.)
- 2% are completely unplayable, such as: “Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier”, “SimCity 4”, “Evil Force 2”, “Saints Row 2”
What’s quite surprising is that I didn’t expect that new games would have more problems. For example, “Alan Plane 2” and “Starry Sky” were launched after the Intel Arc graphics card. “Alan Plane 2” will pop up an error when opening, but the old games are fine. It can be seen that the current Intel team is mainly investing in the old graphics API, but the new games are not bad. This strategy is also quite special:
Although the game support of the Intel Arc graphics card is much better than when it was first launched, Hardware Unboxed also believes that Intel still needs to confirm to players whether the Arc graphics card can be as reliable as AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce in supporting new games.

For example, among the 218 games without major problems, 86 games can be set to the highest image quality, 54 to Ultra settings, and only a few need to be lowered to the lowest settings:
