YouTube opens the “Shorts Smart Download” function, taking the lead in giving Premium users a trial experience
YouTube has recently launched a new experimental feature for Premium members to try out in advance. Previously, it launched a “redesigned viewing interface” for YouTube Premium members to try out. Now it has launched the Shorts smart download function for members using the Premium plan to try out. This feature is currently supported until July 15. This type of experimental feature may extend the trial period and sometimes end early. However, this feature currently only supports Android devices, and iOS users will have to wait until it is officially opened or trialed later!
After turning on the Shorts smart download function, you can watch the automatically downloaded Shorts short videos in the “Downloaded Content” section of the “Personal Center” tab and in the “Smart Download”.
Shorts smart download will automatically download Shorts in the special area based on the YouTube Shorts users have recently watched, allowing users to watch offline at any time. However, not all watched Shorts videos will be included in the smart download, and users cannot directly manually select the Shorts short videos they want to watch. In the Shorts smart download area, the usage method is the same as normal Shorts by sliding up and down to randomly play short videos.
Although YouTube’s smart download or the Shorts smart download function that is open for trial this time allow users to watch audio and video content offline when they are not expected to be in poor network quality and no network environment, but I still hope that YouTube can also allow users to manually download Shorts short videos to their devices. After all, sometimes the content downloaded by Shorts smart download is not what the user wants to watch offline. In addition, each YouTube Shorts video can not exceed 1 minute at most. If users can manually download Shorts You can also further create your own offline playlist for videos to get a better viewing experience.
