I just tested it, and overall it works pretty well, but the hardware recommended by the AI is basically only MSI (unless MSI hasn’t released that product), with no other brands. It also doesn’t support budget requirements at the moment.

According to MSI’s introduction, the features of the EZ PC assembly AI assistant are as follows:
- AI-generated component listAfter analyzing user input with large language model technology, it queries the MSI product knowledge base to recommend the most suitable computer components. Users can then continue the conversation to further select products and learn more about them.
- Automatic Compatibility CheckBased on MSI’s comprehensive product specification database, it ensures that all recommended components can be installed smoothly and operate stably.
- Beginner-friendly tutorialInteract in natural language, enabling users with no prior computer assembly knowledge to easily get assembly advice and guided instruction.
- Multilingual Support: With others LLM Likewise, you can input your preferred language and the AI assistant will respond in the same language.
Although the EZ PC assembly AI assistant supports multiple languages, including Chinese, the current tool page is only in English, and I’m not sure why Chinese wasn’t offered. The AI initially speaks in English, but you can talk to it in Chinese directly, and then it will switch to answering in Chinese.
Try the EZ PC Building AI Assistant
After entering the EZ PC Assembly AI Assistant via the link above, you can activate the chat room in the bottom right corner. The AI will start in English, but you don’t need to worry about that. You can directly ask your questions in Chinese. I tested with “Give me a gaming PC for NT$18,000 that can smoothly play 3A games at 1080p resolution.”
No matter what requirements you give it, the AI will initially prefer either AMD or Intel CPUs. Only after that does it start matching the rest of the hardware. You can also notice that my question mentioned a budget, and the AI responded that it’s just an assembly recommendation assistant focused on providing the most suitable hardware configuration suggestions, and that it can’t access hardware price information, plus prices fluctuate with the market. This means it can’t actually configure hardware based on budget requirements.
After waiting a few dozen seconds, the AI will generate a hardware recommendation list that fits my needs. You can see that apart from the processor and memory, the rest are all MSI’s own products. And the specs provided by the AI are indeed capable of smoothly running 3A 1080p games:
The AI below will also explain why it made these choices, including that the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K and RTX 5060 Ti can meet my gaming needs, while the liquid cooler paired with them also ensures optimal performance can be maintained under high loads:
However, when I actually looked up prices using Coolpc’s online price estimate sheet… sure enough, this AI doesn’t confirm your budget. All the hardware added up to a bit over 50,000, which is a huge gap from the 18,000 I initially gave. So, if you have a budget cap when building a PC, this tool isn’t really suitable. Or alternatively, you can first use this tool to find the hardware that meets your needs, and handle the rest yourself.
