At the end of last month, Microsoft finally launched the Microsoft Copilot exclusive mobile app, which no longer needs to be used through Bing or Microsoft Edge. This is great news for users who only enjoy Copilot, but at that time it was only Android versionFirst of all, there is no news about the iOS version, and as expected, Microsoft Copilot iOS and iPadOS versions did not wait too long. They have been officially launched on the App Store recently. Just like Android, you can use it without logging in to a Microsoft account (but there are some restrictions).

Microsoft Copilot iOS and iPadOS versions are also available and can be used without logging in.

  • Click me to go to the App Store to install Microsoft Copilot iOS and iPadOS versions

When you open the Microsoft Copilot App for the first time, you will be asked to obtain some permissions, such as using location. It is recommended to allow it so that you can get the full experience. If you do not use it later and do not want to allow location access, you can go into the settings to adjust:

After the permissions are authorized, you will enter this screen. Click Continue to start using Microsoft Copilot:

You can use GPT-4 without logging in, but remember to turn on the GPT-4 function above before starting a chat, so that you can get the GPT-4 answer. If you don’t turn it on, it will be an old version of the model. Although it is not bad, the GPT-4 answer is much better. ChatGPT’s GPT-4 is only available to paid members of ChatGPT Plus, so it is really amazing that Microsoft Copilot is completely free:

When chatting for the first time, the “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Statement” will pop up. You must press Continue to continue chatting:

Open the… menu in the upper right corner. There is an “All Tone” function. After opening it, you can switch the GPT-4 option to the traditional conversation style, that is, to “Creative”, “Balanced”, and “Accurate”:

For those who have a Microsoft account, it is recommended to log in, because there are many functions that require logging in to use the account. For example, using DALL-E to generate AI drawings is one of them. In addition, if you want to get a longer answer:

In addition to text chat, the input section also supports photography, pictures and voice.

It is a pity that even if you log in to a Microsoft account, the chat history will not be recorded, which means that as long as you create a new chat theme, the old theme will disappear. However, I guess Microsoft will introduce this feature in the next step. After all, it is very needed for many users.

In addition, plug-ins are still only available in the web version and cannot be used in the App.

A few days ago we introduced a newly added Suno plug-in, which can easily create your own AI music, and it is also fluent in Chinese. You can create Chinese AI music songs.Anyone who is interested can click me to read. But please note that there are currently too many users, so it takes a while to generate AI music. My recent test has to wait at least more than a day for it to be completed, and sometimes it does not appear automatically. You need to ask it “how long will it take” before it will reply that it has been completed:
