Although in the car space, Google has prepared a more independent Automotive OS. In the latest beta version of Android Auto 11.0, the originally unified design of the status bar and even the display mode of the App in the interface can now be changed to correspond to the customized interfaces of other mobile phone brands.
Someone found that compared to the interface when connecting an Android Auto device to a Pixel phone. When connected to Samsung Galaxy and Oppo Find N3 Flip, you can notice that Android Auto 11.0 will display different desktop application shapes accordingly; even in the Android Auto status bar, you can see changes corresponding to Samsung’s customized system One UI.

According to reports, such interface support may have been quietly added in previous versions. Current speculation is that this feature may require Google to turn it on on the server side before you can see such a change in the supported Android Auto interface.
As for whether this is Google’s first response to Apple CarPlay for vehicle systems. Maybe it depends on Android Auto / Android Automotive OS. Next, whether there will be more radical interface customization or even the same strategy of entering the dashboard interface.
