Starting from July 3, Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation has launched a method to directly purchase unrestricted seat tickets through mobile phones. It only takes three steps to purchase tickets through mobile phones. The instructions are as follows:
1. Update the “T-EX Mobile Ticketing” App on your mobile phone to version 6.60 or above:
2. After arriving at the station, you only need to turn on the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone, then click on the “Today Free Seat” section in the App, and follow the instructions to purchase a free seat ticket:
The service of purchasing free-seat tickets via mobile phone will be opened simultaneously in the halls of all stations from now on. Passengers are kindly asked to bring their mobile phones to the surrounding areas such as ticket windows, automatic ticket vending machines or station gates, and turn on the Bluetooth function of their mobile phones.Then click on the “Today’s Free Seat” section in the App.You can receive the signal and quickly use the new function of “T-EX Mobile Ticketing” App to purchase tickets. When clicking on the APPWhen you enter the “Today Free Seat” section, the system will automatically set the station you are at as the departure station. Then select the station and ticket type you want to go to and complete the payment immediately to purchase a free seat ticket.
Special reminder，The “T-EX Mobile Ticket Purchase” App is open for ticket purchase in free-seat stations, starting from the business hours of each station and ending 5 minutes before the departure of the last train. For example: the last northbound train from Taoyuan Station on a certain day leaves for Banqiao and Taipei at 23:40. Passengers can purchase unrestricted seat tickets for northbound trains to the above-mentioned stations through the “T-EX Mobile Ticketing” App at Taoyuan Station at the latest before 23:35. If there are additional overnight trains due to traffic congestion, the latest ticket purchase time is 23:59. Please pay special attention to this.
3. After purchasing the ticket, use the QR code in the ticket purchase phone to enter the station directly and take the bus.
