ChatGPT’s capabilities are becoming increasingly powerful, evolving from a simple AI chatbot in the past to an AI assistant for both work and daily life. Earlier, OpenAI announced the addition of several new features. Beyond connecting with more services, it also introduced a new recording mode—once enabled, it will not only start recording but also convert the content into structured notes when finished, helping users organize meeting minutes more easily. Additionally, for companies interested in integrating ChatGPT into their work, OpenAI also announced that the ChatGPT Team plan will be reduced to $1 for the first month.

ChatGPT Adds Real-Time Recording Feature, Mac Team Users Get Early Access

In a recent livestream, OpenAI announced that ChatGPT has added several new capabilities, and one that many people will likely appreciate is “Record Mode.” This feature can be used to record any meeting, brainstorming session, or voice note. Once enabled, ChatGPT will start recording, and when it ends, ChatGPT will directly transcribe and organize the content—no commands needed to get the key points and summary of the recording.

However, for now only Team users on Mac get it first. OpenAI also added that ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu versions will soon be able to use it, but it’s unclear whether that refers to Mac or includes Windows. Generally, feature rollouts for Windows are slower, so the former is more likely.

We’re also rolling out ChatGPT record mode to Team users on macOS.

Capture any meeting, brainstorm, or voice note. ChatGPT will transcribe it, pull out the key points, and turn it into follow-ups, plans, or even code.

Coming soon to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu.

The Record Mode feature icon is right next to the microphone. Once you press it, the screen will show ChatGPT recording.

After recording, you will receive a report like this, including the summary, key points, action items, questions, and more:

Below is the timestamp in the OpenAI livestream where they start introducing Record Mode:

ChatGPT team plan is only $1 for the first month.

ChatGPT’s Team plan is priced per person, at $25 per user per month, which isn’t very cheap. For some small companies, they may worry that paying for it won’t bring much help to their work. To make it easier for businesses to try it out, OpenAI has also introduced a promotion: the first month of the Team plan costs only $1, and it can be used by up to 5 users.

Here’s another small point: from my testing, it seems you have to start from OpenAI’s ChatGPT Business promotional offer pagePress the $1 trial, and only then will the ChatGPT team plan become $1. If you just switch plans from within ChatGPT to view options, the team plan will still be at its regular price.

The price for the team plan will become $1 (for the first month). Also, note that the original price for this promotional plan is more expensive than the original team plan, becoming $30, when it should normally be $25. Not sure if it’s a labeling error, or if it will really be calculated at $30 per person per month from now on.

ChatGPT can now connect with more services.

ChatGPT now integrates with an increasing number of services, including Outlook, Teams, Google Drive, Gmail, and Linear. For Team, Enterprise, and Edu users, it also adds SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box. These are the current integrations, with more services expected in the future.

Connector feature: ChatGPT paid users can use it together with the deep research feature.

ChatGPT can now connect to more internal sources & pull in real-time context—keeping existing user-level permissions.

Connectors available in deep research for Plus & Pro users (excl. EEA, CH, UK) and Team, Enterprise & Edu users:

Outlook
Teams
Google Drive
Gmail
Linear
& more
