ASUS, which launched only one Zenfone this year, invited Zenfone 9 users to participate in the Android 13 Beta testing event in late August. Earlier, the official finally announced the Android 13 upgrade schedule for Zenfone 9 and Zenfone 8 series phones, so that users of Zenfone 9, Zenfone 8 or Zenfone 8 Flip can be somewhat prepared to welcome the new generation operating system update.

Compared with ASUS’s huge lineup in the ROG Phone 6 series, it has successively launched ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor so far this year, as well as ROG Phone 6D, ROG Phone 6D Ultimate and ROG Phone 6D Batman Edition equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor. In the Zenfone part, it will be divided into Zenfone 8 and ROG Phone 6D in 2021. Zenfone 8 Flip dual flagship, only one so far this year Zenfone 9 was launched and is also equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
With the new generation of Android 13 system officially released in mid-August, in addition to the Google Pixel series phones that are the first to enjoy the new Android 13 system, ASUS officials also recruited Android 13 early access activities (Beta test programs) on the ZenTalk forum at the end of August for Zenfone 9 users to sign up.
After months of testing, ASUS officials finally announced the Android 13 upgrade schedule for the Zenfone 9 and Zenfone 8 series (Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip) on their official Twitter earlier.
Among them, Zenfone 9, launched this year, is expected to start rolling out Android 13 updates as soon as December this year (2022).
As for Zenfone 8 series (Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip) users will not have to wait too long. ASUS is expected to push Android 13 updates starting in January 2023.
However, the official also reminds that the above-mentioned Android 13 upgrade schedule may vary in different regions and conditions, so users who do not receive the update immediately by then should not be too anxious!
Since Android 13 is currently only available to users of Google’s Pixel series mobile phones, Samsung has just announced the Android 13 update schedule for its Galaxy phones and Galaxy Tab tablets.
