The scope of this update can be said to include almost all Apple mobile devices and even desktop computers. You should already be able to find security update tips including iOS / iPadOS 14.8, watchOS 7.6.2 and other software updates in your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac devices.
It is really recommended that you update this update as soon as you receive it, because ForcedEntry is a zero-click/zero-day zero-day attack technique that does not require clicking – that is, you may have had your personal information and other important information taken away by someone without knowing it. Citizen Lab revealed the attack method, believed to have been developed by Israeli hacker firm NSO Group. This company is also the developer who claimed a few days ago that it used the Pegasus spy app to bypass the BlastDoor sandbox protection mechanism specially developed for iOS 14.

ForcedEntry is said to exploit a vulnerability in the iMessage messaging service’s algorithm for image display to achieve the effect of a zero-day attack. Ivan Krstić, Apple’s director of security engineering architecture, later told foreign media TechCrunch Mentioned that we are very grateful to Citizen Lab for their efforts in providing this vulnerability report, which allowed Apple to quickly release corrective updates. Citizen Lab also mentioned that it has recently observed that messaging services such as iMessage and other applications are increasingly becoming targets of attacks by international hacker groups. This vulnerability also highlights that similar system security challenges will be more severe.
