in Smartphone firmware update

Speaking of which, ASUS’s commitment to updating the Android system for its smartphones should be regarded as the first among many mobile phone manufacturers, right? Following the Android 12 system update for ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip, which debuted at the end of last year, the ZenFone 7 / ZenFone 7 Pro series, which promised to provide the same update treatment (updating twice, is very sincere!), has set its timetable for the first half of 2022. And now,TA And it really came. Continue reading ASUS ZenFone 7 / ZenFone 7 Pro official version Android 12 release report text.

ASUS ZenFone 7 / ZenFone 7 Pro official version Android 12 released

As ASUS announced last year, the Android 12 update for ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip will be pushed out before the end of 2021 as scheduled. ASUS then launched the ZenFone 7 / 7 Pro beta test for this system at the beginning of this year – the way to participate is actually very simple, just go to the system update function and select “Register for Beta Testing Activity” to join. So I believe that many friends who own this phone with pre-installed Android 10 system have already upgraded it, right?

In 2022, ASUS still maintains its full sincerity in continuing to update the system for old customers. Before the preview deadline in the first half of the year, it was announced that Android 12 has officially started rolling out to ZenFone 7 and ZenFone 7 Pro users. The official software also confirmed that it will provide the function of downgrading back to Android 11 – but it will require clearing all data, so be careful.

According to information from ZenTalk, the ZenFone update with version number 31.0210.0210.250 is confirmed to be a major update that will jump the system version number to Android 12 in one go. The corresponding models are ZenFone 7 Pro (ZS671KS) and ZenFone 7 (ZS670KS). It is said that this update will be pushed to users in about a week. Friends who want to confirm can go to “Settings > About > System Update” to try to update manually.

Since it is a very important version number, the official also recommends backing up the data before upgrading (either in the cloud or locally).

The updated project section includes apps such as smart housekeeper, contacts, phone, file management, computer, clock, photo library, weather, recording program, settings, one-click device replacement, local backup, boot wizard and system update. There will be changes; the system quick settings panel will also have a new look, adding a new gadget page design and adding privacy information-related functions, including prompts for camera and microphone use, display of clipboard access notifications, access approximate location, microphone access privacy protection functions, etc.; the emergency help function will also replace the original original function.

Specific update projects canCheck the original update instructions – Judging from the reports below, we haven’t seen any major problems with the update. It should be safe to use? (You still need to remember to back up)
