From the rich social functions of the Steam platform to the extremely complete and homely customer service, Valve has already established a “user first” image among players that truly cares about users. And just recently, another new case once again made many fans appreciate the company’s generosity to users.

According to a post shared by a Steam Deck player on the Reddit forum r/SteamDeck, his newborn baby recently accidentally vomited milk onto his Steam Deck storage bag officially sold by Valve, making it difficult to use the entire bag. Subsequently, the player contacted Valve’s official customer service staff and asked them if he could purchase a new original storage bag. However, Valve customer service gave him a completely unexpected answer.

In a follow-up reply, Valve officials stated that they had taken the initiative to establish a new order for him, and would then directly send him a set of replacement parts for the Steam Deck 512GB OLED original storage bag for free. Of course, Valve’s quick and generous response immediately sparked heated discussions.

Underneath this Reddit post, many players praised Valve’s generosity, saying that many modern large companies no longer take consumers’ thoughts seriously, and even think that they are their “necessities”, which also makes Valve a unique existence.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time the Steam Deck has been in the news for its durability alongside Valve’s official approach to it. One user wrote to Valve after an unfortunate fire accident at his home to let them know that his Steam Deck had survived. The incident also sparked heated reactions among the community at the time. For less dramatic situations, Valve and iFixit’s cooperation in repair costs often makes players feel very friendly.

On the other hand, after recently officially launching a new generation of Steam controllers, Valve is currently continuing to prepare for the Steam Machine and Steam Frame under development. Although they don’t seem ready to reveal price information to fans, official information hints that this new product will still be launched in the summer of 2026.
