On the 22nd, ASUS explained the Android 12 operating system update schedule for its recent ZenFone series and ROG Phone series models, including plans for ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 Flip, ZenFone 7, ROG Phone 5s, ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 3.
ZenFone Series
First of all, in the ZenFone series, the ZenFone 8 and ZenFone 8 Flip released this year are expected to receive Android 12 updates starting in December this year (2021). As for the ZenFone 7 series, the updates are expected to be available in the first half of next year (2022).
ROG Phone series
Then in the ROG Phone series of gaming phones, the new ROG Phone 5 and ROG Phone 5s will start updating the Android 12 operating system in the first quarter of 2022, while the update schedule for ROG Phone 3 will be open for updates in the first half of 2022.
ASUS also stated that in addition to the improvements added by Google in Android 12, the update is expected to further optimize tuning performance, ASUS battery management features, and a number of ZenUI custom system experience improvements in the new version, such as a simplified control panel, increased visibility, and improved customization. at present Android 12 beta testing program is already underway for Zenfone 8Over a period of time, I believe that subsequent tests of other models will also start one after another.
