Although it is still built on the Chromium core, Arc Browser cleverly leverages generative AI and innovative design concepts to create a completely different web browsing experience. Ever since the Windows version was announced, I wonder if everyone has downloaded it by now?
A few months after the initial launch, they announced today that they have begun rolling out an update that adds Arc Max’s AI features.
If you’re an Arc browser user who uses it across both Mac and Windows versions, you’ve probably wondered why the latter seems to lack the generative AI experiences Arc has been touting lately. Now, the official team has finally announced they’re starting to roll out a series of thoughtful AI features to fill that gap.

The above common aspects of daily life. petty annoyance This is an example of what the Arc development team hopes to address through the AI-powered Arc Max experience, with the goal of making the user experience smoother.
In the latest Arc for Windows – 2023/2024 Release, they’ve added the “Tidy Tabs” feature that automatically names and manages sidebar tabs, along with the “Ask on Page” AI query feature that many people have been eagerly anticipating, which can be activated with “Ctrl + F”.

To be honest, the AI features in Arc browser aren’t ones I use all that much. But just in terms of the browser experience itself, I already think it’s very worth giving a try.
As for the Arc Max features, I’ve only actually turned on “Tidy Tabs”, “Instant Links”, and “ChatGPT in the Command Bar” – though the one I actually use regularly is probably just the first one? After all, it runs automatically.
That said, I personally am quite looking forward to the summaries and AI search features offered in the Arc Search app. I wonder when they’ll come to the desktop version.
