Whoscall for iOS finally knows how to “automatically update” the number database!
I have to say, although Whoscall’s call identification function is really good. However, compared to the Android version, which can obtain information online, iOS users who need to manually update their number database regularly, it seems that as long as they accidentally slide off the notification and miss the update reminder, they may be in danger of being scammed by new phone calls – especially since the recent epidemic-related scams are spreading (which is really evil…), you should at least hope to get the best protection from an app that can filter scam calls immediately.
After hearing users’ wishes, Whoscall has recently launched an advanced function that can automatically update the number database. According to official information, more than 10,000 people have tried this feature in the two weeks since it was launched. Through the latest lazy savior’s advanced paid subscription features that automatically update the number database/automatically block incoming calls/remove annoying ads, you can avoid the possible risks of missing updates.
Whoscall shared in a press release that since the command center announced level 3 alert, more than 2.8 million fraudulent calls and text messages have been identified through their system, a 30% increase compared to the same period last month. It can be seen that while everyone is WFH, the fraud groups are making every effort to strive for performance.(Oh no, isn’t there a problem with gathering in groups?), so the advanced features of the iOS version that avoid missing updates are quite timely.
Although there is a fee to enable advanced features (an annual fee of NT$600, which translates to an average of NT$50 per month), I believe it will be a worthwhile investment especially during a period like this if you can have a more brainless and ad-free experience.
