YouTube iOS app will finally support picture-in-picture feature
Compared with the YouTube Android app, which has supported the picture-in-picture function for many years, according to a recent report by foreign media MacRumors, after a long wait, the iOS version of the YouTube App will finally support the picture-in-picture (PiP) function. Unsurprisingly, this feature will be available to YouTube Premium subscribers, and will also be the first to be opened in the United States initially. Although there is no further explanation of the launch time of this new feature in global markets, it is expected to be launched in other global markets later.

Although iOS users in Taiwan are currently unable to use the picture-in-picture function through the YouTube App, if you are a YouTube Premium paid subscription user, you can still use the method shared before to open YouTube through the Safari browser to play videos in picture-in-picture.
It is expected that after the YouTube App’s picture-in-picture feature is launched, when users turn on this feature, they can directly return to the home screen during video playback without interrupting the video. Instead, it will be converted into a floating window and displayed on the screen, just like the previous picture-in-picture on the YouTube web version.
In the future, after the picture-in-picture function is opened in the YouTube App, it is expected that it will be more convenient for users who want to perform multiple tasks at the same time. However, whether every user likes it depends on their personal habits.
