In fact, judging from past impressions, it may be a big question mark whether pure Android users will specifically choose to subscribe to Apple Music. However, after introducing a spatial listening experience that includes support for Dolby Atmos music content, plus support for high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz/24 bit Hi-Resolution Lossless. Now that Apple’s audio streaming has greatly improved its competitiveness, they have not given up their plans to compete in other system fields. It is now confirmed that the spatial listening experience and lossless sound quality of Apple Music on Android have started beta testing, demonstrating a high degree of enthusiasm for cross-platform support.

I have to say that if you want to try Hi-Resolution Lossless high-resolution lossless sound quality, there are really not many choices on the market now. However, in this wave of Apple Music streaming music services, Apple has not only strengthened the sound quality specifications, but also introduced a series of music content that supports Dolby Atmos. In addition to encouraging music creators to make more use of this specification, it is also incorporated into one of their own Spatial Audio spatial audio music experiences (another known experience is the head tracking function).

Although Apple has mentioned at this WWDC that Apple Music, which has been significantly upgraded in terms of sound quality and sound field, will also be able to enjoy this improvement in the Android version. However, it now seems that their enthusiasm for supporting non-Apple systems is beyond imagination. Not long after the extended support was announced, the Android version of Apple Music has confirmed that it has officially launched a beta test to introduce spatial listening experience and lossless sound quality.Application open to general users. This also means that the official version of Android that supports these latest specifications should not be far away.

Although this test is now confirmed to be full (weeping), according to the test of foreign media 9to5Google, the Android version of Apple Music will also provide the corresponding sound quality options of the iOS version, including the original ACC high-efficiency sound quality, and the high-quality option starting from ACC 256kbps; in terms of high-quality Lossless specifications, there are also up to 24-bit/48kHz fidelity compression and 24-bit/192kHz ALAC format support for high-resolution fidelity compression – note that the latter will require a USB DAC device for full support.

For music recorded in Dolby Atmos format, Apple Music can also provide “Spatial Listening” spatial listening function for devices that support this specification – notice the difference in the name? Perhaps the “listening” experience that supports dynamic sound fields will be classified under the official name of Spatial Audio spatial audio experience? In addition, for this latest beta version, Apple Music will also provide an automatic feature for automatic interactive fade-in and out-fade.
