A Japanese company has launched an app that can generate AI dance videos from just one photo.

With the explosive popularity of vertical short videos like TikTok and YouTube Shorts, educational content and dance challenges are becoming increasingly prevalent. Many people may want to create dance challenge short videos but lack dance talent or find the moves too difficult to learn, so they never manage to pull it off. A Japanese AI painting app called “AI Picasso” claims to have developed the world’s first AI dance achievement. You simply upload a photo of yourself, and the AI will automatically generate dance videos in various styles. No matter how complex or difficult the dance, you can easily create dance videos with the help of AI.

The Japanese painting app “AI Picasso” claims to have achieved what it calls a world-first feat: AI Dance. Using a proprietary AI model, the app only requires a photo containing a person and motion data of a human pose. AI Picasso’s AI then continuously generates images based on the motions, thereby enabling video generation.

AI Picasso states that their AI model, trained extensively on dance videos, can generate high-quality, flicker-free dance videos. They also won’t have the issue of traditional video generation struggling to create coherent images. Therefore, as the first APP to release an AI dance feature, they believe they have achieved the milestone of being first in the century.

The current AI Picasso app doesn’t have an AI dance feature yet.
