During Apple’s recent spring product launch, it was announced that the official version updates of iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, and watchOS 7.4 would be released this week. It is also considered the most significant upgrade of iOS 14 for users in the near future. Among them, the much-anticipated mask unlocking function is facing the current difficult period when everyone is wearing masks to prevent the epidemic. For users who own both Apple Watch and iPhone, they no longer have to manually enter passwords to directly unlock the iPhone when wearing Apple Watch. In addition, this time iOS 14.5 also brings a number of updates and improvements to iPhone usage.
iOS 14.5
At 1 a.m. today (27th), Apple finally officially opened iOS 14.5/iPad 14.5 and other updates as expected! From now on, users only need to update their iPhone to iOS 14.5 and update their Apple Watch to the latest version of watchOS 7.4 to unlock via Apple Watch while wearing a mask. Of course, don’t forget to back up your iPhone before updating!
Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch
When users try to use Face ID to unlock their iPhone while wearing a mask, they can directly unlock iPhone X and subsequent models through Apple Watch Series 3 and subsequent models by simply turning on the setting. AirTags and “Find”
- Support AirTag in the Find app to privately and securely track and find your keys, wallets, backpacks and other important items

Apple Music
