Next month is Google I/O 21 (you can wait until impatientPlay the Easter egg game), the functions of the latest version of Android 12 have also been released with more developer versions, allowing everyone to discover many functions and giving people a glimpse of what the new generation mobile system may look like. Recently, the XDA Developer forum discovered that the system’s built-in Files app may bring functionality closer to the desktop system. This will give you, who always deletes files by mistake, a chance to recover without asking netizens who “you still have time” to help stop you from deleting files. Android 12 may welcome a “trash” feature, similar to Gmail’s

This new Files app feature that appeared in Android 12 developer preview will appear directly on the storage space analysis page. Basically, just like desktop systems such as Mac/Windows, or even email services such as Gmail, when the user chooses to delete items, these files will be temporarily stored in the trash. Unless the user goes to the trash can to empty it or it will be deleted after a certain time limit (30 days).

Before that (as long as the mobile phone capacity is not tight), you can come to Trash to find files. I have to say that although trash cans are commonplace in many systems, they are really an excellent feature that has saved many people.

According to XDA Developer’s screenshot information, this feature will give you an approximate file size prompt when clearing and deleting. I believe that the clean system option in the Files by Google app will also officially add this clearing function (previously it mainly dealt with idle system files). This wave of Android 12 test versions really releases a lot of features first, includingAutomatic application translationbesidesVery iOS picture-in-picture and one-handed modeevolution. It feels like the practicality, convenience and aesthetics of Google smartphones have been improved! I’m really looking forward to the launch of more major smart features in I/O 21, as well as the most important open update date!
