Google Maps adds missing road drawing function to make map information more real-time
Google announced the latest features of its map service through its official blog. Basically it all revolves around the concept of removing the old and introducing the new. After all, as the epidemic gradually eases, many businesses and attractions will be reopening recently. Of course, we should also take advantage of this situation to encourage Google Maps users to share some of the latest information.

Compared with Google Maps, which in the past gave priority to adding comments, in order to make image information of restaurants and other attractions more real-time, they hope that through the new “Recent Photos” function, users do not have to leave ratings and comments. They only need to simply upload photos (with short text descriptions) to make map contributions. These photos will also appear in the Latest Updates tab – friends who have reviewed their favorite restaurants but want to share the latest happenings at that place with others can upload an unlimited number of photos through the “Upload Recent Photos” button.

The second function is actually a reprint of the function added back to Google Maps, which is the “Edit Map” function that allows users to report changes/added roads on the map – a bit like the concept of adding new attractions, which will allow you to report the latest conditions of the roads through tools.
Finally, Google is currently launching a new “Local Love Challenge” only for local guides in the United States. We hope that everyone will add ratings, comments and confirmation information for local stores you have visited to express your support for local merchants. The goal of the new challenge is to update 100,000 merchants. I don’t know when it will come to our side so that everyone can respond.
