alreadyApple Watch ECG function officially launched in Taiwan, you should have seen another update project but failed to activate when using the previous settings – in fact, it is a “true and considerate” function that supports occasional observation of arrhythmia and notifies the user. iOS 14.4 and watchOS 7.3 updates are here: Arrhythmia notification feature launched! HomePod mini relay experience upgrade
This time iOS 14.4 has been updated with many items, mainly including the enhancement of the function of using the camera to recognize mobile barcodes, which will be able to recognize smaller mobile barcodes. Bluetooth settings have also been imported into categories to more accurately identify headphones for audio notifications. The corrected part, the problem of delay and no display of suggestions when inputting text, has also been improved this time. iOS 14.4 also fixes issues such as artifacts that may occur when shooting HDR on the iPhone 12 Pro.

Interestingly, iOS 14.4 also has further control over third-party repairs. The new generation of iPhones (12 / 12 mini / 12 Pro / 12 Pro Max) provide the function of verifying whether they are genuine camera parts – it is unbelievable that even cameras can have sub-factory goods.

In recent watchOS updates, Apple has made many moves towards the ECG function, which has been lacking in Taiwan for a long time. This time, version 7.3 officially brings the arrhythmia notification function to users, which has not yet been provided after the ECG was previously activated (please read the precautions carefully, for example, this function may not be able to detect all the time, it can only be used as a reference, and it is recommended to go directly to emergency treatment if you feel uncomfortable). watchOS 7.3 also brings a new “United” interactive watch — a unique watch that changes based on your movements throughout the day.

This wave of updates also brings updates to Apple’s smart speaker series, making up for the proximity sensing relay experience that was temporarily missing when HomePod mini was launched to support U1 chips. This new relay experience not only provides visual, auditory and tactile sensations – the closer you are, the higher the vibration frequency will be, the screen will change, and you can press the small capsule notification function in advance to make relevant settings (you don’t have to be so close to HomePod mini).

After the update, family members can also use an iPhone with a U1 chip close to HomePod mini to watch the quick card information played directly on the phone screen, and this function does not require unlocking the phone. So to put it simply, in addition to asking HomePod, you can also just take your family member’s iPhone and lean on it to know what song is being played (eh!).

The updated quick card function will provide listening suggestions even when you don’t know what music you want to play. In order to prevent you from poking HomePod with your phone back and forth all the time, a “Send to iPhone” button will now be directly provided for quick settings.
