The version number of this update is RQ1A.210105.003 or RQ1A.210105.002 depending on the Pixel model. The Android update size displayed on the Pixel 3 XL in my hands is only 25.75MB. Issues fixed on most models, including the Pixel 3 series, include MVNO connection and call issues, display functions that cause certain apps to restart, and minor issues with the angle sensing of automatic screen rotation. Secondly, the Pixel 4a series (including the 5G version) and Pixel 5 also improve the performance of automatic screen brightness under specific lighting conditions.
Finally, this security update also brings corrections and improvements to Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) respectively. For the latter, it improves the noise problem of speakers in certain environments; for Pixel 5, it fine-tunes the system volume level. This update can be upgraded OTA from “Settings > System (expand the bottom function bar) > System Update”. The editor’s old Pixel 3 XL didn’t encounter any major problems after the upgrade, but it is recommended that you do all the backups before upgrading just in case!
