In a way, it’s like an AI-powered gaming version of TikTok: fast, lightweight, and full of creative flow; while also carrying Roblox’s spirit of “everyone can create.” The difference is that Pocket requires no technical barrier—you don’t need to learn Unity, nor do you need to understand physics engines. Notably, Pocket’s creation was no accident. Meta previously acquired the startup Gizmo, whose team focused on AI-generated interactive experiences, and Pocket was most likely built upon this technology. Rather than hiding this capability inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta chose to launch a standalone app, clearly exploring the possibilities of AI-driven creation.

Meta clearly saw what most people actually want: they don’t want to become game developers—they just want to turn their creative ideas into something playable. Pocket nailed this insight.
