Although the price of each task listed in the current screenshot is 0.2 or 0.5 yuan, it is difficult for Task Mate to become a choice for everyone to make money – it is more practical to go for food delivery. But as a break from daily life (or delivery), I occasionally open it to pick up tasks and earn a little money for drinks and lunches. This seems to be a good option. Because at this stage, Google seems to be planning to use actual cash rewards to collect things that in the past may only passively encourage users to do, and are less demanding on quality – just imagine what would happen if Google thought the photos taken by local guides were bad (explosion).

For example, look at the screenshot information of Task Mate on Google Play (currently limited to India and Kenya). They listed items that should be familiar to Google Maps local guides, such as “Field Tasks” such as taking photos of storefronts and confirming store details. Those that may be related to Google machine learning are general tasks (Sitting Tasks) that can be performed while sitting still with a mobile phone, such as recording the voice of specific words and phrases, confirming translation quality, answering questions, and rewriting words and phrases.

It can be seen from the above that Google may now plan to obtain better service data in the form of tuition fees in order to improve the quality of its services. In fact, according to the app’s description, the assignment of tasks will also vary based on the user’s performance – obviously, this will have an impact if you have a bad rating. Moreover, the monetary reward part is also divided into two items: bonus items to be reviewed and bonuses that have been determined to be received. If you want to claim the bonus, you need to have a minimum of 10 yuan to receive it (not sure if this is US dollars).

That is to say, seeing that Google Maps encourages everyone to take photos and share them without sparing any effort, if Task Mate comes to Taiwan, I wonder if you will be more willing to help Google obtain real-life information – but it should also depend on the “pricing”?
