since Google and Apple After the partnership was announced, Apple users must be eagerly awaiting the revamped version, however rumors suggest that it won’t be released until the second half of 2026, when it may launch based on Gemini ‘s Apple IntelligenceAnd the good news is,Siri Some might not need to wait that long. According to the latest reports from foreign media, Apple plans to launch a more personalized version of Siri powered by Gemini technology next month.

The new Siri with Gemini integration in its first phase will launch next month alongside iOS 26.4 Beta.

Earlier, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in Power On that Apple is still planning to unveil the new Siri in late February, while also showcasing its capabilities.

It’s unclear what features will be included, and it’s also unknown whether Apple will hold a formal event to showcase Siri, but it will be powered by Gemini technology, so we can expect it to be significantly better than the current Siri.

Apple previously announced that the new Siri would be able to access personal data and on-screen information to complete tasks. This could be one of its key capabilities.

Additionally, Siri will become more personalized and use device data to provide more precise responses, such as suggestions based on user habits. Apple’s originally planned “World Knowledge Answers” (an AI search tool) has been scaled down, instead relying on Gemini to handle web searches and knowledge queries.

Mark Gurman also added that Apple has scaled back its AI feature plans for Safari, shifting focus to core Siri upgrades.

The new version of Siri will be integrated into iOS 26.4, with beta testing expected to begin in February and a public release likely in March or April. So if this news is true, those who want to get an early experience next month will need to upgrade to the beta version first.

This Siri upgrade will be rolled out in two phases. iOS 26.4 will primarily focus on the initial upgrade powered by Gemini, followed by iOS 27, expected to release in fall, which will bring a more comprehensive chatbot-style redesign, making Siri a true generative AI assistant.

One more thing you should know is that, according to foreign media analysis, while the new Siri works on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, it may require newer hardware, such as A17 Pro or higher, to fully utilize the AI features.

After Apple chose to partner with Gemini, many see it as a signal that Apple is finally willing to seriously address Siri’s long-standing issues. Analyst Gene Munster says this also increases the odds of the new Siri’s success and could potentially drive future device and service sales.

Two-stage Siri upgrade prediction

  • Phase 1A more personalized, data-driven Siri, powered by Google’s customized 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model as the foundation. The focus is on improving Siri’s contextual understanding, personalized responses, and more natural conversational abilities. This phase is primarily an “initial upgrade,” making Siri smarter and more attuned to user habits.
  • Second phaseTransform Siri into Apple’s first complete AI chatbot, delivering an experience similar to ChatGPT or Gemini. Siri will drop its scripted responses and become a true generative AI assistant capable of handling more complex, open-ended queries.

Predicted new features and changes

Here are the 7 most frequently mentioned new features or changes to Siri after Gemini integration:

  1. More natural conversations and context trackingSiri can remember the context of the conversation and support follow-up questions, so you no longer need to repeat the context each time like you do now.
  2. Better real-world knowledge and web searchIntegrates Gemini’s world knowledge with the ability to search the internet directly, providing the latest information instead of being limited to data stored on your device.
  3. Narrative Writing and Creative ResponseCapable of telling stories, writing short articles, and generating creative content—such as helping users craft stories or brainstorm ideas.
  4. Emotionally supportive responseProvide more humanized, empathetic conversations, offering comfort or advice when users are feeling down.
  5. Screen Content Understanding and Deep IntegrationSiri can read information on the screen (such as messages, webpages, files), analyze it directly, and respond—for example, “Summarize this email” or “Find similar images from this photo.”
  6. Generate AI Images and MultimediaSome reports suggest Siri could support generating images or analyzing files.
  7. Deeper system integrationSiri is deeply embedded in core apps on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, allowing you to invoke Siri directly within apps like Mail, Safari, and Notes to perform tasks.
