With the launch of RTX 3080/90, RTX 30 series graphics cards have become one of the hottest keywords in the graphics card market. Many players who had been waiting for the card for a long time used their money to force it to be removed from the shelves. For a time, both players and scalpers, the graphics card buying and selling market became very hot. Although the AMD camp will also launch its own new architecture graphics card in the near future, NVIDIA has obviously not stopped. According to Matthew Smith, editor of foreign media TechPowerUp, he recently discovered interesting information in the company’s GPU database, which is the backend database of the famous GPU identification software GPU-Z. Based on this information, he judged that this is likely to be the hardware information of the RTX 3060 Ti graphics card that will be released at the end of this year or next year:

Before we read on, we need to understand something. Currently, among the GPUs launched for the NVIDIA Ampere architecture, there are only three consumer-grade graphics cards: RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. The name RTX 3060 Ti has not been officially announced or recognized. The only thing that can be determined is that from the discovered data, it can be speculated that its performance is roughly behind the RTX 3070. For the convenience of naming, it is temporarily called RTX 3060 Ti. Whether it will be officially released, and whether the model will still be called RTX 3060 Ti after the release, everything is still based on NVIDIA official.
Use the same core as RTX 3070, reducing CUDA cores to achieve mid-range performance
Foreign media TechPowerUp recently discovered information suspected to be RTX 3060 Ti GPU hardware information. This information appeared in its own GPU-Z database. It is a graphics card manufactured by HP that uses the same GA104 core as the RTX 3070 and has 4864 CUDA cores. What’s interesting about this card is that while the core is the same GA104 core as the RTX 3070, which also has its own codename GA104-200, the CUDA core setup has slightly fewer 1024 cores than the RTX 3070. Based on other information, this GA104-200 graphics card manufactured by HP is at least one level lower than the official RTX 3070 graphics card, so TechPowerUp infers that it is likely to be the rumored RTX 3060 Ti or RTX 3060 graphics card:

According to previously known information, the performance of the RTX 3070 is quite close to the previous generation flagship RTX 2080 Ti. In addition, the performance of this graphics card is generally slightly lower than the RTX 3070. It is inferred that its performance should not be far from that of the RTX 2080 Super.
In theory, it should be slightly better at optimizing certain games than the previous generation RTX 2080 Super. From this point of view, we can speculate on the future positioning and pricing of this mid-to-high-end card:

Interestingly, on China’s Taobao, several RTX 3060 Ti pre-order pages have appeared posted by purchasing agents. These businesses obtain parallel imports by placing orders from abroad and sell them to Chinese consumers through the Internet. According to the information posted on these websites, it can be noted that the purchasing price is approximately RMB 1,499 (approximately NT$6,390, HKD 1,733.36), and the purchasing price of the graphics card with water cooling solution is set at RMB 2,998 (approximately NT$12,790, HKD 3,466.71):

If converted into U.S. dollars, it can be speculated that the actual recommended selling price is about US$300 to US$400. For gamers, for a price of less than NT$10,000, they can exchange for a new architecture card that is equivalent to the performance of the previous generation flagship graphics card.
