Macintosh.js is a system emulator that reminds you of Mac OS 8 in the 1990s. It is supported by Windows, Mac and Linux, and does not require installation of anything or technical background. After downloading this software, you can use it with two clicks. It also has many built-in applications and games. It is worth trying for those who miss the Mac OS 8 interface or have never encountered such an old operating system.

Introduction to Macintosh.js
Macintosh.js is a set of open source software.Click me to enter GitHub To get the version of each operating system, I am taking Windows as an example. Please download the file with the extension .exe (depending on whether you are 32-bit or 64-bit):

Then open it directly and the emulator will be enabled. This set of JavaScript code is written to simulate the 1991 Macintosh Quadra 900 host and the Mac OS 8.1 operating system. The processor equipped at that time was Motorola 68040. Seeing this startup screen is really nostalgic:

After entering the desktop, you can see three folders Games, Apps and Sick Videos:

There are five games in total:
- Dungeons & Dragons
- The Oregon Trail
- Damage Incorporated
- Alley 19 Bowling
- Civilization II
- Duke Nukem 3D

Most can be opened and played:

There are many applications, even Adobe has them, such as:
- Adobe Dimensions 2.0 Tryout
- Adobe illustrator 5.5 Tryout
- Adobe Photoshop 3.0.5 Universal
- Adobe Premiere 4.0.1 Tryout
- Adobe Streamline 3.1 Tryout
- AppleCD Audio Player
There are also folders for network, movie player, remote control, etc.:

Make sure Photoshop can be opened and used:

Sick Videos has two video files:

Can be opened for playback:

Although the Mac OS Info Center on the desktop will open the browser, I actually tested that it was unable to connect to the Internet and could only view the instruction guide (after all, the Internet technology used 30 years ago was very different from today):
