When sharing with others, they often copy and paste a long string, which is not only smelly and long, but also unsightly. When writing blog posts, hyperlinks to short URLs are often used. I often use the Chrome browser. The Google short URL service has been discontinued for a long time. Although URL shortening services are gradually declining, various additional services have appeared one after another, such as the ability to generate QR-CODE, diversion and judgment devices to guide different pages, etc. Recently I saw Reurl.cc Traffic statistics can be hidden to avoid being viewed by interested parties, and UTM parameters can also be customized. The focus is a free URL shortening service in Taiwan.
In addition to the shortened URL launched by Google, it also comes with QR Code and statistical functions. Is it quite good? Unfortunately, Google announced that this service would end support, so we had to find another way. Reurl.cc is different from URL shortening services such as goo.gl and bit.ly. It hides all click data based on user privacy, so that competitors have no way to know the effectiveness of your clicks.

When you enter the official website, you will see the word “Login” on the upper right. In fact, you can use the services of the website without logging in, but you cannot analyze the information.
Directly enter the URL and press [Abbreviation] to generate a short URL.
In addition to generating shortened URLs, Reurl.cc can also generate QR Codes and even customize UTM parameters (left). The preview screen shared in the picture below cannot be displayed. This is mainly because the author uses Cloudflare and is blocked due to security issues, so the correct title cannot be obtained.
If you switch to the FB fan page, the preview screen will be captured normally.
If you want to analyze the data of shortened URLs, you must log in to the online service. I want to view it, so I choose to register with a Google account.
After registering and logging in, you will see an “Analysis” option at the top. Click to see detailed shortened URL information. It includes the link, source, generation time and number of clicks, and also allows you to edit and delete.
The Reurl.cc URL shortening service can also use browser extensions and currently supports Chrome and Firefox browsers.
The author uses the Google chrome extension to install it. The same installation confirmation window appears in the picture below. Select the “Add extension” action.
After successful installation, the Reurl.cc icon and installation success message will appear above the Google Chrome browser.
Go to the web page you are browsing and click the Reurl.cc icon in the upper left corner of the browser. A shortened URL will be generated. You can press [Copy Link] to copy it to the clipboard, which is more convenient for the application software you want to paste.
