Although we have introduced many Siri shortcuts for downloading YouTube music and videos in the past, YouTube is very diligent in blocking such applications, and they often become invalid every once in a while. After entering the script acquisition page, scroll down and click “Add Untrusted Shortcut”:
Supports three languages, the default is English (eng), just click to complete:
Then at the bottom of my shortcut page, you will see this shortcut script. Before using it, first get the YouTube link you want to download:
It depends on whether you want to use the YouTube App or the web version. I will use the YouTube App as an example.
Once you find the YouTube video you want to download, click the “Share” feature below the video:
A menu will pop up below, click on the first “Copy Link”:
Go back to my shortcut page and click on the Loader.to script you just obtained. This message will pop up, select “OK”:
The YouTube link you just copied will be automatically pasted, click “OK”:
The following will let you choose whether to download video (Video) or audio (Audio). Let’s look at the audio part first:
Audio is provided in two formats “m4a” and “mp3”. I downloaded MP3:
This message will pop up, click “OK”
Then you will be asked to obtain notification permission. I personally recommend that you click OK, so that it will tell you every step of the execution:
A notification that the file is being converted will be displayed above. Wait a few seconds for it to be completed:
After completion, this message will pop up, click “OK” and the MP3 download will start:
MP3 can basically be downloaded in about a minute. For those with fast Internet speeds, it may take less time. If you have waited for five minutes and it has not finished, it is recommended to do it again.
After the download is completed, you can click the play button to listen to it. If you have no problem, click the share icon in the lower left corner:
to select the location to save. If you want to save to iPhone or iCloud, click “Save to File”:
The picture below is the image quality selection screen for downloading videos. It supports up to 8k, but it is in webm format. In addition, you should also remember that 8k files are very large. Even YouTube videos are 1GB faster, so the download time will be longer. I have tested and confirmed that 8k can be downloaded (of course, the YouTube video itself must have this quality):
